Refecting on Debt Review of 2011

It’s a time to reflect on the year and more importantly a time to think about and plan for 2012.

In order for one to grow, you need to know where you are, and where you are going.  Knowing where you are and appreciating what you have in life is what will help you to reach great achievements on all levels in life. To start with there are many things one could be grateful for, the fact that we are healthy and alive, we have a company to work in, a country without a civil war, a healthy (but expensive) banking system, and last but not least, still have a place to live that has not been exposed to massive natural disasters.  We also want to thank God for keeping us all healthy to do our work and be there to take care of our colleagues, friends and family in whatever way possible.

Then we as the Head Office, and behalf of all the other offices, would like to thank each and every one of you for all the hard work and dedication you have focused on Debt Review this year.  Its been a year with many challenges and also many achievements.  This industry has not been easy, and the law has made it a challenge to keep everyone motivated, but we have only grown stronger to move forward.  Needless to say, its wonderful to still have such motivated teams around the country supporting DRS and the brand.  We have survived all the challenges of 2011 and we look forward to growing this brand as a team even more  in 2012. 

As per the natural progression of this industry (and having learn't this from the outcome of the debt review industry in other countries), the industry dictates that there will be no space for small players going forward.  We are going to make sure we look after our teams and do our best to keep our position in the marketplace.

On this note, the time has come for us to take a break and recharge our batteries for the challenges that 2012 has to offer.  DRS Head Office will be closing from Thursday 15 December (with a skeleton staff until Wednesday 21 December) and re-open on 9 January.

We would like to wish all the offices and their teams as well as our suppliers and clients a blessed Christmas and a very happy new year.  Looking forward to see you again in January.
